What is BladeSystems Insight?
BladeSystems Insight is the leading national executive summit focused on blade, virtualization and other technologies transforming the data center. Now in its second year, BladeSystems Insight features an invited audience of senior-level IT decision-makers from large and midsize enterprises coming together with leading technology vendors and industry thought leaders. The event is designed to help Vendors build brand recognition and gain market share in the fast-growing blade marketplace.
Why is this event different from other data center events?
BladeSystems Insight is the first and only hosted model event focused on the data center. Every attendee is a pre-qualified decision-maker responsible for evaluating, purchasing and implementing blade, virtualization and other data center technologies. Because each attending executive is fully hosted with an air/hotel/meals travel package, all attendees must participate in every component of the event. This ensures that vendors get guaranteed access to attendees in pre-scheduled case study presentations and one-on-one meetings, as well as a full complement of networking activities.
Why are the blade and virtualization markets such key growth areas for vendors?
Blades are the fastest and most significant growth area in server computing. Blade systems represent highly advanced, ultra-dense servers that fit on a single card and deliver higher performance, lower power consumption and extraordinary economies of scale for the data center. According to IDC, the blade server market ā including related applications -- will double in size over the next five years and be a $10 billion marketplace by 2010. The blade space is expected to experience a 350% Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) over the next four years.
Virtualization is seen as a key component in the next generation data center. The use of virtualization has matured from simple partitioning and encapsulation to the mobility of virtual machines to improve management and operations of IT environments that range from high availability and disaster recovery to hosted clients and true utility computing. IDC projects the growth for virtualization services for volume servers to experience a phenomenal CAGR of over 33% through 2011 ā and the overall virtualization market to more than double in size over the next four years.
Who will attend?
Executives need to qualify in order to attend, and all attendees will receive a full participation package. Attendees will include a cross-industry, senior group of IT professionals from both Fortune 1000 and midsize organizations including CIOs, network and IT/IS managers, data center managers, telco center managers, network engineers and other IT leaders overseeing the selection and implementation of blade server, virtualization and related technologies. Key vertical industries to be represented by attendees at the event will include healthcare, telecom, financial services, retail, education and more.
What will take place during the event?
The three-day agenda is centered around scheduled meetings between attending executives and vendors, including breakout case study presentations and one-to-one meetings for follow-up product and partnership discussions. Peer exchange sessions, industry roundtables and daily networking activities will also be featured.
Will I have the opportunity to schedule 1:1 meetings with attending executives?
Yes, you will have access to a unique online tool that enables you to pre-schedule 1:1 meetings with the executives of your choice. You may also schedule these meetings on-site during the event.
Which Vendors should participate?
You should participate if you are a manufacturer or supplier of blade servers and other blade-based products, virtualization, power and cooling, networking and other core data center hardware, software and services.
Iām interested in being a participating Vendor. How do I find out more?
